What is a personalised setup?
We can break it into 2 categories
1. Suspension
2. Chassis
Suspension can range from a straight forward shim stack alteration to full component upgrade along with the shim stack settings to match.
-Piston shim stack in forks and shock
-Oil volume/height in forks
-LSV (low speed valving circuit in some forks)
-Piston changes with port volume/location changes to correct or match flow rates between valves in forks and shock
-Changing fork function from pressurised chambers to open chamber (e.g XPLOR WP Fork)
-Cartridge conversion kits (WP forks)
-Compression adjuster pistons and/or adjuster shim stacks in rear shocks
-Gas volume and pressure in rear shocks.
Chassis refers to fork height, triple clamp offset, sag settings, linkage ratio, handlebar/seat/footpeg height
All of these things in combination or individual can and will impact the the way a bike handles or responds.
The tuners job is to ask the right questions (and in most cases view the rider) to determine what is required to give the rider what they need.
It’s not as simple as throwing a heap of parts at a bike and calling it a day.
It’s important to have an understanding of what each function does and how they relate to each other for the way the bike handles.
If you’re looking to improve the way your bike handles, contact us here and we can discuss your options.
